A trusted, community-based rotating savings program rooted in African tradition — modernized for today's immigrant families and entrepreneurs. Save together. Grow together.
A Tontine (also called a ROSCA, Tanda, Susu, or Njangi) is a rotating savings and credit association where a group of trusted members each contribute a fixed amount regularly. Each cycle, one member receives the entire pool — rotating until everyone has received their payout.
This centuries-old practice from West Africa and other cultures is a powerful tool for building savings, funding goals, and supporting community members — without banks, interest, or credit checks.
At Teranga Global Solutions, we organize, manage, and facilitate Tontine groups with full transparency, written agreements, and professional oversight — bringing this beloved tradition into the modern era.
Zero interest charges. Your money works for your community, not a bank.
Groups of 5–20 trusted members. You know who you're saving with.
Every group has a signed participation agreement for full legal protection.
Every contribution and payout is recorded and visible to all members.
Here's how a Teranga Tontine group works from start to finish.
Gather 5–20 trusted members. Choose your contribution amount ($100–$2,000/cycle) and frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).
Every member signs a Teranga Participation Agreement. Rules are locked: contribution amount, payout order, and schedule.
Each member contributes their fixed amount every cycle via Zelle, Venmo, or cash. Teranga tracks every payment in a transparent ledger.
Each cycle, one member receives the full pool. The order is determined at the start and rotates until every member has received their payout.
When all members have received their payout, the cycle is complete. Many groups choose to start a new cycle immediately!
*Each member contributes $500/month for 10 months and receives $5,000 once during the cycle.
We offer different group structures to match your savings goals and community.
Pool money with family members for big goals — home down payment, school fees, ceremonies, or shared investments.
Save across borders with your home community. Members can be in different states or countries. Perfect for West African diaspora groups.
Colleagues or business owners running rotating capital for equipment, inventory, business expansion, or working capital.
Neighborhood associations, church groups, mosque communities, or cultural organizations saving together for shared goals.
Parents saving together for children's education, school supplies, or college tuition. A powerful alternative to traditional savings accounts.
